Zoho Books

The Zoho Books integration uses triggers to send invoices, bills, purchase orders, customers, and vendors from Fiddle to Zoho Books. It can also import sales orders from Zoho Books into Fiddle. Changes you make to invoices or bills in Zoho Books don’t come back to Fiddle.

Connect Zoho Books

1. Open the Integrations app and choose Zoho Books.
2. Click Connect and sign in to Zoho to authorize Fiddle.
3. Click Settings and check the Accounts tab.

When you connect, Fiddle:

• Uses your default Zoho Books organization.
• Fills in the default accounts by matching Zoho Books’ standard account names: Sales (income), Uncategorized (expense), Cost of Goods Sold, and Inventory Asset (inventory and inventory purchases).
• Turns on triggers that create or update a Zoho Books customer when you add or edit a customer in Fiddle, and a vendor when you add or edit a supplier.

Send invoices, bills, and purchase orders

Zoho Books records are created only by triggers. There’s no create button on sales or purchase orders. On the Triggers tab, click Add trigger and pick one of these:

• Invoices include the customer (matched by name, or created), item and service lines with quantity, rate, and discount, plus the order discount, shipping charge, notes, and due date. The reference is F- plus the sales order number.
• Bills are numbered F- plus the purchase order number and use the ordered quantities.
• Lines are sent with the Fiddle item code and description. They aren’t linked to Zoho Books items.

If an order already has an invoice or bill that’s still draft, open, or overdue, Fiddle updates it instead of creating another. Paid and void records aren’t changed.

Import sales orders from Zoho Books

1. On the Orders tab, turn on Import orders.
2. Choose the Sales channel for imported orders.
3. Optionally choose one Customer for every imported order. If you leave it empty, Fiddle uses the customer on the Zoho Books order.

Fiddle checks Zoho Books for new and updated orders every hour. To import now, open More → Import orders on the Zoho Books page and choose how far back to go.

What isn’t synced

• Payments. Fiddle doesn’t record or send payments. Record them in Zoho Books.
• Credit notes.
• Tax rates. Fiddle doesn’t map tax rates. Check tax on each invoice in Zoho Books.
• Stock levels and inventory adjustments. Your stock lives in Fiddle.

The Zoho Books page in the Integrations app shows a History list of what Fiddle has sent and imported.
