ShipStation

Buy labels, get rates, and push tracking between Fiddle and ShipStation.

Updated June 21, 20261 min read

The ShipStation connector sends orders to ShipStation for label buying and brings tracking numbers back, so fulfillment status stays in one place.

Connect ShipStation

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations and choose ShipStation.
  2. Enter your ShipStation API key and secret to authorize Fiddle.
  3. Choose which orders to push — for example, sales orders that are ready to pick.

How it works

Step Where it happens
Order is created Fiddle
Order is sent for shipping ShipStation
Rates and label are selected ShipStation
Tracking and carrier flow back Fiddle

Once a label is purchased and the order ships, ShipStation returns the carrier, service, and tracking number, and Fiddle marks the order shipped.

Fiddle reflects the rates and services ShipStation returns from your carrier accounts. Set up and rate-shop carriers in ShipStation; Fiddle records the outcome.

Keep them in sync

New orders push automatically and tracking flows back as labels are bought. If an order fails to send, it’s flagged on the integration status panel with the reason — usually a missing address or weight. Fix it and retry.

For how connections work in general, see the integrations overview.
