Connect a UPS account to rate shipments, buy labels, and get tracking.

Updated June 21, 20261 min read

The UPS connector links your own UPS account to Fiddle so you can rate shipments, buy labels, and capture tracking at your negotiated rates.

Connect UPS

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations and choose UPS.
  2. Authorize Fiddle with your UPS account credentials.
  3. Set your default origin address and packaging so rates are accurate.

Your UPS account must have the relevant products enabled — such as Rating and Shipping — for rate and label requests to succeed. Without them, requests return access errors rather than a labeling problem.

How it works

  1. Open a sales order that’s ready to ship.
  2. Request UPS rates for the package weight and destination.
  3. Select a service and buy the label.
  4. Fiddle saves the tracking number and marks the order shipped.
Action Result
Get rates Live UPS service options and costs
Buy label Printable label plus tracking number
Ship order Tracking pushed back to the order

Keep it healthy

Rates and labels use your live UPS account, so an expired or unauthorized account causes failures shown on the integration status panel. Re-authorize and retry.

For how connections work in general, see the integrations overview.
