QuickBooks Online

Sync bills, invoices, and payments between Fiddle and QuickBooks Online.

Updated June 21, 20261 min read

The QuickBooks Online connector keeps your purchases, sales, and payments in step with your ledger, so you don’t re-enter transactions by hand.

Connect QuickBooks Online

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations and choose QuickBooks Online.
  2. Click Connect and sign in to Intuit to authorize Fiddle.
  3. Map your Fiddle accounts to the matching QuickBooks accounts and tax codes.
  4. Pick a sync start date so older history isn’t duplicated.

What syncs

Fiddle record QuickBooks record
Purchase order / bill Bill or expense
Sales order / invoice Invoice
Customer payment Payment applied to invoice

Records sync after they’re issued, not while they’re drafts.

Match each Fiddle account and tax rate to a QuickBooks equivalent before turning sync on. Unmapped accounts or taxes will pause syncing until you resolve them.

Keep them in sync

Fiddle pushes new and updated transactions automatically. If a record fails to post, it’s flagged on the integration’s status panel with the reason. Fix the cause — usually a missing account, customer, or tax mapping — and retry.

Edit a synced bill or invoice in Fiddle, not in QuickBooks, so the two stay aligned.

For how connections work in general, see the integrations overview.
