Fulfill and ship an order

Take a confirmed sales order through pick, pack, and ship.

Fulfillment turns a confirmed sales order into a shipment. The flow is pick → pack → ship, and Fiddle updates stock and notifies the customer along the way.

1. Pick

  1. From the confirmed sales order, click Fulfill.
  2. Fiddle generates a pick list of items and quantities by location.
  3. Pick the goods and confirm the picked quantities.

2. Pack

  1. Assign the picked items to one or more packages.
  2. Choose a package type to capture weight and dimensions for accurate rates.

3. Ship

  1. Connect a carrier if you haven’t already.
  2. Buy and print the shipping label directly from the order.
  3. Mark the order shipped.

When you ship:

  • On-hand stock is decremented and the reservation is released.
  • Tracking details are recorded and can be emailed to the customer automatically.

Shipping many orders at once? Use batch fulfillment to pick, pack, and buy labels for a whole group of orders in one pass instead of one at a time.

Buying labels requires a funded shipping wallet. If label purchase fails, check the wallet balance first.
