Create a shipment

Buy a label, record tracking, and dispatch a packed order to the customer.

Updated June 21, 20261 min read

A shipment dispatches a packed order. You pick a carrier and service, buy a label, and Fiddle records tracking and updates stock.

Create the shipment

  1. Open a packed fulfillment order and click Ship.
  2. Connect a carrier first if you haven’t already.
  3. Choose the carrier and service — rates show per package based on weight and size.
  4. Buy and print the shipping label.
  5. Mark the order shipped to finalize the shipment.

What happens when you ship

  • On-hand stock is decremented and the reservation is released.
  • The tracking number is saved on the order.
  • Tracking can be emailed to the customer automatically.

Buying labels requires a funded shipping wallet. If a label purchase fails, check the wallet balance first.

Manual shipments

Shipping outside a connected carrier? Choose manual shipment, enter the carrier name and tracking number yourself, and mark the order shipped. Stock updates the same way; only the label purchase is skipped.

Shipping many orders at once? Use batch fulfillment to pick, pack, and buy labels for a whole group in one pass.
