Connect a shipping carrier
Link a carrier account so Fiddle can quote rates and buy shipping labels.
Connecting a carrier lets Fiddle pull live rates and purchase labels directly from a packed order. You can use your own carrier account or Fiddle’s built-in rates.
Connect a carrier
- Go to Settings → Shipping → Carriers.
- Click Add carrier and choose the provider.
- Authorize the connection — enter your account credentials or complete the provider’s login flow.
- Set this carrier’s default service if you want it pre-selected at ship time.
- Save. The carrier now appears when you buy a label.
Bring your own account vs. Fiddle rates
| Option | Best for |
|---|---|
| Your own carrier account | Negotiated rates already tied to your account |
| Fiddle shipping rates | Discounted rates with no separate carrier contract |
Some carriers require product-level approval (for example, Rating or Shipping access) on their side before rates return. If you connect successfully but see no rates, check that the carrier app has those products enabled.
Test the connection
Open any packed order and click Ship. If rates appear for the new carrier, the connection is working. No rates usually means missing package weight, missing dimensions, or a carrier account still pending approval.
Next steps
With a carrier connected, you can buy and print shipping labels. Labels are paid from the shipping wallet.
