Tracking and customer notifications
Capture tracking numbers and send shipment emails to customers automatically.

When you ship an order, Fiddle records the tracking number and can email the customer so they know their package is on the way.
Tracking numbers
- Buying a label saves the tracking number on the order automatically.
- For a manual shipment, enter the carrier name and tracking number yourself.
- The tracking number and a carrier link appear on the order for your team and the customer.
Customer notifications
- Go to Settings → Shipping → Notifications.
- Turn on shipment confirmation emails.
- Choose whether to send automatically when an order is marked shipped.
- Customize the email’s subject and message if needed.
A notification only sends if the order has a customer email address. Orders without one are skipped — no error, just no email.
What the customer receives
| Field | Source |
|---|---|
| Tracking number | The purchased or manually entered number |
| Carrier | The service used to ship |
| Items shipped | The lines on the fulfillment order |
Need to resend? Open the shipped order and choose Resend tracking email — useful if a customer says they never got it.
