Fulfillment orders
Create and track the working record that drives picking, packing, and shipping.
A fulfillment order is the working record that takes a confirmed sales order through pick, pack, and ship without changing the original order.
Create a fulfillment order
- Open a confirmed sales order and click Fulfill.
- Choose the location to ship from. Available stock at that location is shown per line.
- Confirm the quantities to fulfill — accept the full order or enter a partial amount.
- Save to create the fulfillment order and generate its pick list.
Track its status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Open | Created; ready to pick |
| Picking | Items being picked |
| Packed | Items assigned to packages, awaiting shipment |
| Shipped | Label bought and dispatched |
| Cancelled | Closed without shipping |
Partial and split shipments
If you can’t ship everything at once, fulfill what’s available now. The remaining quantities stay on the sales order so you can create a second fulfillment order later.
One sales order can have several fulfillment orders. Use this to split a large order across multiple shipments or shipping locations.
Cancelling a fulfillment order returns its reserved stock to available so the line can be fulfilled again.
Next steps
Once the fulfillment order exists, work its pick list.
