Export your data

Download items, orders, and other records to a spreadsheet.

Exporting pulls your Fiddle records back out into a spreadsheet for backups, reporting, or moving data to another system. Most list screens can export what they show.

Export from a list

  1. Open a list screen — for example Inventory → Items or Sales → Orders.
  2. Apply any filters and search so the list shows only the records you want.
  3. Click Export and choose the format (CSV or XLSX).
  4. The file downloads with the columns from the current view.

Exports respect your filters. Filter to a date range, status, or location first to export a focused subset instead of the entire list.

What you can export

  • Inventory items and current stock levels
  • Customers and suppliers
  • Purchase orders and sales orders
  • Reports from the Reporting area

Round-tripping data

An export makes a good starting point for a bulk update: export the records, edit them in the spreadsheet, and re-import to apply changes.

Keep the unique key (item SKU, or customer/supplier name) unchanged in an export you plan to re-import, so each row matches its existing record instead of creating a new one.
