Login and access issues

Diagnose sign-in failures, password problems, and missing permissions.

Updated June 21, 20261 min read

If you can’t sign in or can’t see something you expect, the cause is usually credentials, permissions, or a stale browser session. Work through these checks in order.

Can’t sign in

  1. Confirm you’re using the right email address — it must match the one you were invited with.
  2. Use Forgot password to reset, then check spam if the email doesn’t arrive within a few minutes.
  3. Try an incognito/private window to rule out a cached or expired session.
  4. Clear cookies for the site, then sign in again.

Reset links expire. If yours has lapsed, request a fresh one rather than reusing the old email.

Signed in but something is missing

What you can see and do is controlled by your role. A missing menu, button, or record usually means your role doesn’t include that permission.

Symptom Likely cause
A whole section is hidden Your role lacks access to that module
You can view but not edit Read-only permission on that area
You see no data at all You’re in the wrong organization

If you belong to more than one organization, use the organization switcher to confirm you’re in the right one.

Still locked out

Ask an admin to open Settings → Users, confirm your account is active, and check your assigned role. An admin can re-invite or adjust permissions there.

For other recurring problems, see Performance and loading issues.
