The work order board

Track and move production at a glance with a status-column board view.

The work order board is a visual, column-based view of your production. Each card is a work order, and each column is a status — so you can see what’s queued, running, and done at a glance.

Open the board

  1. Go to Production → Work Orders.
  2. Switch to the Board view.
  3. Work orders appear as cards grouped into status columns.

Read the board

Column What’s in it
Draft Orders being prepared
Scheduled Planned and reserved, ready to start
In progress Components issued; production underway
Completed Finished and received into stock

Each card shows the product, build quantity, and any flags such as short components.

Move work along

Drag a card to the next column to advance its status. Moving a card to In progress prompts you to issue materials; moving it to Completed prompts for the output quantity.

Use the board for daily standups — it makes bottlenecks obvious when one column fills up while the next stays empty.

Filter the board by workstation to see only the jobs for a specific area of your shop floor.

Next steps

See how each column maps to a stage in the work order lifecycle.
