Assign users to stages
Give each board stage an owner so the right person picks up work at each step.

Assigning users to a stage makes it clear who’s responsible for orders sitting in that column, so work doesn’t stall waiting for someone to notice it.
Assign a user to a stage
- Open the board and click Configure (or Manage stages).
- Select the stage you want to assign.
- Choose one or more users to own that stage.
- Save your changes.
When an order reaches that stage, its assigned users are shown on the card and can be notified that work is waiting for them.
How assignments behave
- A stage can have several users, and one user can own multiple stages.
- As a card moves between columns, the responsible users change with it.
- Assignments come from your team’s user list — add teammates first under Settings → Users if someone is missing.
| Action | Result |
|---|---|
| Card enters an assigned stage | Owners appear on the card |
| Card moves to the next stage | Ownership shifts to that stage’s users |
| Stage has no assignees | Card shows no owner |
Stage assignment controls ownership and visibility on the board. It does not change a user’s overall permissions — manage those under Settings → Users.
