Notification recipients and preferences
Choose who gets emailed for which events and how often.
Notification settings decide who hears about activity in Fiddle — low stock, new orders, received purchase orders, and similar events — and how those alerts are delivered.
Set up recipients
- Go to Settings → Notifications.
- Pick an event type, such as Low stock or Sales order received.
- Add the users or email addresses that should be notified.
- Save. Each enabled event now emails its recipients when it occurs.
Common event types
| Event | Typical recipient |
|---|---|
| Low stock / reorder | Purchasing or inventory manager |
| New sales order | Sales or fulfillment team |
| PO received | Receiving and accounts payable |
| Work order completed | Production lead |
Personal vs. account notifications
Account-wide rules cover shared events. Each user can also set personal preferences under their profile to opt in or out of notifications meant for them, so individuals aren’t forced to receive everything.
Reduce noise by sending high-volume events to a shared inbox or distribution list rather than to many individuals.
Notifications use the email addresses on each user’s profile. If alerts aren’t arriving, confirm the address is correct and check spam filters before changing settings.
