General and fulfillment presets
Set company details and the default behavior used when fulfilling orders.
General and fulfillment presets set the defaults Fiddle reaches for whenever you create a new record, so you don’t re-enter the same values every time.
General presets
- Go to Settings → General.
- Set your company name, address, and contact details — these appear on documents.
- Choose a default location for new stock and orders.
- Set your time zone so timestamps and reports line up with your working day.
Fulfillment presets
Under Settings → Fulfillment, control how orders move toward shipment:
- Default ship-from location — where stock is picked unless overridden.
- Allocation rule — whether stock is reserved automatically when an order is confirmed, or only when you start fulfilling.
- Backorder handling — whether orders can be confirmed without enough available stock.
Presets only fill in new records. You can override any preset on an individual order or purchase order without changing the account default.
Keep presets minimal
Set defaults that match your most common case. Edge cases are easier to handle per-record than to encode as a default that’s wrong half the time.
If most of your orders ship from one warehouse, set it as the default ship-from location — pickers then only adjust the exceptions.
