Convert a quote or estimate to a sales order

Turn an accepted quote into a sales order without re-entering anything.

Quotes and estimates let you propose pricing before a customer commits. When they accept, convert the quote into a sales order in one step.

Create a quote

  1. Go to Customers → Quotes and click New quote.
  2. Add the customer and line items, just like a sales order.
  3. Send it as a PDF or email for the customer to review.

Use estimates for ballpark pricing that may change, and quotes for firm pricing you’re ready to honor. Both convert to a sales order the same way.

Convert to a sales order

  1. Open the accepted quote.
  2. Click Convert to sales order.
  3. Review the carried-over line items and pricing, then confirm.

The new sales order keeps a link back to the original quote, and stock is reserved as soon as you confirm it — see Create a sales order for what happens next.
