The receiving log
View every goods receipt, trace what arrived when, and audit receiving activity.
The receiving log is a running record of every goods receipt across your purchase orders. Use it to confirm what arrived, when, and who logged it.
What the log shows
Each entry captures a single receiving event:
| Field | What it records |
|---|---|
| Date | When the stock was received |
| PO | The purchase order it was received against |
| Supplier | Who shipped the goods |
| Items & quantities | What was received and how much |
| Location | Where the stock landed |
| Received by | The user who logged the receipt |
Find a receipt
- Go to Suppliers → Receiving to open the log.
- Filter by supplier, PO, date range, or location.
- Open any entry to see line-level detail, including lot or serial numbers if the item is tracked.
Looking for a single item’s history? The inventory activity log on the item shows its receipts alongside every other movement. See the inventory help.
Why it matters
The log is your audit trail for incoming stock. If on-hand numbers look wrong, the receiving log shows whether a receipt was logged twice, into the wrong location, or for the wrong quantity.
Each receipt also creates the inventory movement that turns incoming stock into on hand, so the log and your stock levels always reconcile.
