Welcome to Fiddle

A quick tour of what Fiddle does and how its core modules fit together.

Updated June 20, 20262 min read

Fiddle is an inventory management and manufacturing platform that connects everything from raw materials to finished goods shipped out the door. This article gives you the big picture so the rest of the Help Center makes sense.

What Fiddle does

Fiddle keeps a single source of truth for your stock and the work that moves it:

  • Inventory — every item, variant, lot, and location, with real-time stock levels.
  • Purchasing — buy materials from suppliers and receive them into stock.
  • Sales — quote, sell, and allocate stock to customers.
  • Manufacturing — turn materials into products with bills of materials and work orders.
  • Fulfillment — pick, pack, and ship orders, and buy shipping labels.

If you only learn one thing first, learn the core loop: buy stock → make or store it → sell it → ship it. Almost every feature in Fiddle supports one of those four steps.

How the pieces connect

Each module reads and writes the same inventory ledger, so an action in one place updates everything downstream automatically:

When you… Fiddle automatically…
Receive a purchase order Increases on-hand stock for those items
Confirm a sales order Reserves stock so it can’t be oversold
Complete a work order Consumes components and adds finished goods
Ship a fulfillment order Decreases stock and records the shipment
